Floor hockey
Floor hockey is a sport similar to ice hockey. It is played on a hard surface, either indoors or outdoors. Its rules are simple and it requires just a little bit of body protection, which makes it a sport accessible to all. The sport is played with a plastic ball weighing about 75 g, hockey gloves and hockey sticks. There are five players per team on the court.
Age categories:
10 to 12 yrs. old: mixed
13 to 15 yrs. old: mixed
16 to 18 yrs. old: mixed
Note:
A minimum of 2 girls per team is mandatory.
Each point made by a girl is equal to 2 points.
1 girl must always be in the game.
The goalie does not count as the one girl always in the game.
What communities need to bring:
Hockey sticks (Plastic blade)
Complete set for goalkeeper including goalkeeper stick
Protective glasses are required and gloves are highly recommended
